The vintage advantage:

This is the G variant — the glassless cassette door model, which is harder to find than the standard version. Technics used their digital FG servo motor for rock-solid tape speed, which means you get consistent playback without the drift that plagued cheaper decks. The SX sendust heads were specifically designed for durability and performance — they last longer and track better than conventional ferrite heads.

The below service was carried out to get it to perform within original specs:

  • Replacement of Capstan Belt
  • Lubrication of moving parts
  • Cleaning of heads and capstan with chemical
  • Demgagnetisation of heads
  • Speed calibration
  • Playback level calibration
  • Full function test

We provide 6 months warranty for cassette decks.
