Cassette Deck Restoration

It is important for us to set the right expectation from the beginning. If you purchase a cassette deck from us, it will have received some work. Cassette decks will always require some attention to get them into a useable state.

Every customer has a different use for his cassette deck in mind. Some just require a good player, because they want to be able to listen to the old tape collection. Other’s are keen to indulge a bit more into this analog medium. They want to be able to record their own mix tapes or record analog sources (e.g. record player) on tapes.

There is also the audiophile. His expectations on the performance of device are the highest. It should not only play and record well – it has to sound as good as the high end source. The outside of the device also has to meet his high expectations.

To keep cost within reasonable range we created the badge system below. Cassette decks depending on restoration and performance grade are badged accordingly. The badge system will also be applied if you bring your own device for restoration into our workshop.
