The Akai GX-65 Mk II is a high end audiophile 3 head cassette deck. It has dual capstan for excellently low wow and flutter, HX Pro for crisp recording and adjustable bias from the front panel. It also comes with Dolby B and C noise reduction.
With this being a 3 head you have the ability to listen to the actual recording when recording instead of monitoring the source. Adjustment on record level and Bias are immediately noticable on your recording and you can tweak it to the best possible result.
This deck has been fully serviced:
- Removal of entire transport from device
- Cleaning of transport, heads and capstan
- Demagnetisation of heads and capstan
- Lubrication of both capstan and flywheel with quality lubricants
- Replacement of capstan belt
- Re-installation of transport
- Speed calibration
