The SONY TC-255 is a beautiful open reel tape recorder from the 70ties. It can run at three different speeds: 1 7/8, 3 3/4 and 7 1/2IPS. While the units are quite compact, they are know to perform extremely well. The heads on the 255s are outstanding and you get a very clean and detailed sound out of it – leaving every cassette deck in the dust!
