An actually quite good sounding double cassette deck which got this aboslute 80ties look to it. It came out in 1986 – the year Madonna released her “True Blue” album and we saw Peter Gabriels award winning music vidoe to “Sledgehammer” on MTV.
The HX-A351W comes with just the basics, but it got a continuous play function. After Deck 2 finished played, Deck 1 would start when the function is turned on and of course tapes are in both dwells. In our tests after service, we were quite impressed how to good this unit sounds.
Below is the service we have carried ot on this unit:
- Replacement of both capstan belts
- Replacement of idler tyre on Deck II
- Cleaning of heads
- Cleaning of capstans
- Treatment of pinch rollers.
Below is a test recording made with the HX-A351W and played back by it:
We provide 6 months warranty for cassette decks.
