The “AIWA Creator’s Stereo AD-1500” is high end top loader casssette deck from the mid 70ties. It has the lowest wow and flutter in its class and would beat in that discipline later cassette decks from Technics or even Nakamichi. AIWA has built some in the audio scene highly regarded cassette decks. This is an early model and its performance is still impressive.
It provides great sounding playback of self or pre-recorded tapes. If you want to put your records onto tape – this is a very suitable unit.
The esthetics are amazing, a strong 70ties vibe, metal on the top of the device that resides in a wooden case. The cover is as spotless as the rest of the unit. This is not just a great sounding cassette deck but also an absolute showpiece.
To get the deck working in its original specs, we carried out the below service:
- Replacement of capstan belt
- Lubrucation of capstan shaft
- Cleaning of capstan and heads
- Demagnetisation of capstan and heads
- Cleaning and treatment of pinch roller
- Full function test
We provide 6 months warranty for this unit.
