The NV-HD650MK2 is a high end VHS unit made for professional use. The whole chassis is metal (cast aluminium) and it is equipped with a 7 head video drum. It does play and record stereo audio, the front panel has built in stereo VU meters.
This unit would also be suitable for pure audio recording.
