The Technics RS-630 comes in all wood look with beautiful silver front and old school piano key buttons for operations. Inside the cassette compartment are two mirrors, making it easy to see the playing cassette. A plastic cover can be slid over it to protect it from dust. The very large VU meters are just beautiful and of course back lit as well.
This is a really good sounding deck with Technics HPP head. We were quite impressed about its playback and recording performance.
We have serviced this unit to make it run at its original specs:
- Replacement of capstan belt
- Reconditioning of pinch roller
- Cleaning of heads and capstan
- Demagnetisation of heads and capstan
- Speed Calibration
- Azimuth Calibration
- Full function test
