The RS-M63 has this beautigul vintage look while being absolutely high tech from the inside. With its 3 heads and the adjustable recording bias it can create impressive recordings close to CD quality. The VU meter brightness can even be adjusted from the front and the backing of the tape bay is made out of high quality stainless steel. A mechanism lifts the tape a bit up in the door when eject is pressed, to make it easier to grab it. This deck was top of the line Technics in the early 80ties.
The deck received the below service to have it operating at original specs:
- Replacement of Capstan Belt
- Replacement of Pinch Roller
- New powdercoating of the case
- Cleaning of Heads
