The RS-M270X was calles the “Dragon Slayer” back in the days. Referring to the Nakamichi Dragon that would have costed 5 time the M270X went for. The SX head in combination with the DBX makes it a unique combination of two excellent technologies. With the direct drive mechanism it achieves extremely low wow and flutter. It will also never require a belt replacement.
We have serviced his deck to get it back to its original specs:
- Lubrication of all moving parts
- Reconditioning of pinch roller
- Cleaning of heads
- Demagnetisation of heads and capstan
- Replacement of 4 capacitors (DBX and Record Amp circuits)
- Record Level Calibration
- Playback Level Calibration
- Speed Calibration
- Full function test
Below is a rest recording made by the M270X on a Type II tape with DBX turned on and played back by it:
This unit comes with 6 months warranty.
